We are on the hunt for a dynamic, passionate, and dedicated Consulting Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our progressive healthcare team. This unique role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on students' lives by providing exceptional speech and language services in a school setting. The successful candidate will be an integral part of our multidisciplinary team, working alongside other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive, holistic care to our students. This position requires a minimum of 2+ years of experience in a school setting.
Responsibilities:
As a Consulting Speech Language Pathologist, your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
1. Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify students' speech and language disorders and developing individualized treatment plans to address identified needs.
2. Providing direct speech and language therapy services to students according to their individual treatment plans.
3. Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other school staff to implement strategies that support students' communication skills in the classroom and at home.
4. Conducting regular progress monitoring and adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure students are making progress towards their speech and language goals.
5. Providing consultation and training to school staff and parents on how to support students' communication skills in the classroom and at home.
6. Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss students' progress and plan for their future needs.
7. Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of students' progress, treatment plans, and services provided.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the Consulting Speech Language Pathologist position, the candidate must possess the following qualifications:
1. A Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from an accredited institution.
2. A current and valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist.
3. A minimum of 2+ years of experience as a Speech Language Pathologist in a school setting.
4. Exceptional knowledge of speech and language development and disorders, as well as effective treatment strategies.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, and school staff.
6. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
7. A commitment to continued professional development and staying current with the latest research and best practices in speech-language pathology.
