We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Consulting Speech Language Pathologist to join our innovative healthcare team. This role involves providing exceptional speech and language therapy services to a diverse student population within a school setting. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of a wide range of speech disorders and language impairments and will be passionate about helping students overcome their challenges and reach their full potential. Responsibilities:
As a Consulting Speech Language Pathologist, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Conducting comprehensive evaluations to assess students' speech and language skills, and identifying areas of improvement.
2. Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans that address students' specific needs and goals.
3. Providing direct speech and language therapy services to students using evidence-based techniques and strategies.
4. Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other school staff to integrate speech and language goals into the classroom and at home.
5. Tracking and documenting students' progress, and adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
6. Providing education and training to school staff and parents on how to support students' speech and language development.
7. Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss students' progress and plan for their future needs.
8. Staying updated with the latest research and developments in speech-language pathology to ensure the use of best practices.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications:
1. A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field.
2. A valid Colorado State SLP license.
3. A minimum of 1 years of experience as a Speech Language Pathologist, preferably in a school setting.
4. Excellent knowledge of various speech disorders and language impairments, as well as effective treatment strategies.
5. Strong analytical skills and the ability to conduct comprehensive evaluations.
6. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and school staff.
7. A strong commitment to improving students' speech and language skills, and helping them achieve their goals.
8. The ability to work independently, manage a caseload effectively, and meet deadlines.
9. Proficiency in using computer software and technology for documentation and communication.
