We are on the hunt for a dynamic and dedicated Sprinkler Technician to join our innovative Engineering team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a leading organization that specializes in advanced fire protection systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, inspection, and maintenance of automatic sprinkler systems. This role requires a dedicated professional with a strong attention to detail, a knack for problem-solving, and a commitment to safety. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role, and a deep understanding of alarm systems.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the installation, repair, and maintenance of automatic sprinkler systems to ensure they are in optimal working condition.
2. Conduct routine inspections and tests of sprinkler systems and associated equipment to identify and resolve any performance issues.
3. Collaborate with the engineering team to design and implement effective fire protection systems.
4. Respond promptly to emergency call-outs, diagnosing faults and implementing immediate repairs to prevent fire hazards.
5. Maintain accurate records of all inspections, servicing, and repair work carried out.
6. Provide technical support and guidance to clients, explaining complex technical issues in an understandable manner.
7. Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures, ensuring that work areas are safe and clean.
8. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry advancements, technologies, codes, and regulations related to fire sprinkler systems.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 2 years' experience as a Sprinkler Technician or a similar role in the Engineering industry.
2. Proven experience with alarm systems.
3. In-depth knowledge of the design, installation, and maintenance of automatic sprinkler systems.
4. Strong problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail.
5. Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear, understandable manner.
6. Familiarity with local, state, and national codes and regulations related to fire sprinkler systems.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks simultaneously under tight deadlines.
8. Physically fit and able to work in various conditions, including high or confined spaces.
9. A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
10. Certification from a recognized fire protection or engineering institution would be an added advantage.
