Our company is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sr. Accountant to join our Finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing various accounting functions including AP, vendor payments, vendor setup, journal entry preparation, account reconciliation, and inventory analysis. Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts payable processes including vendor setup, invoice processing, and payment disbursement
- Prepare journal entries and maintain accurate general ledger accounts
- Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Analyze inventory levels and provide recommendations for improvement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to streamline accounting processes
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 2+ years of experience in accounting or related field
- Strong knowledge of AP processes and vendor payments
- Experience with journal entry preparation and account reconciliation
- Ability to analyze inventory levels and provide recommendations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented and able to work independently
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- CPA or CMA certification is a plus
