We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sr. Accountant to join our team. As a crucial member of our finance department, you will be responsible for maintaining financial records and reports, performing account reconciliations, assisting with budget and close processes, conducting internal audits, and maintaining accounts payable documentation. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain financial records and reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable laws and regulations.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
- Assist in budget preparation and management activities.
- Develop monthly financial statements that include cash flow, profit and loss statements, and balance sheets.
- Conduct regular ledger processes, reconciling balance sheets and managing accounts payable and receivable.
- Complete end of month close procedures, ensuring all ledgers are tied out and all necessary entries are made.
- Implement and maintain internal financial controls and procedures, including cost accounting and budgetary controls.
- Collaborate with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations.
- Document and maintain complete and accurate supporting information for all financial transactions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 2+ years of general ledger accounting or related experience.
- Proficient in Financial Reporting, Account Reconciliation, Financial Accounting, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Internal Controls, Cost Accounting.
- Experience with Sage Intacct or similar accounting software.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
- CPA certification is a plus.
