We are seeking a highly skilled, dedicated, and innovative Controls Engineer to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent position that offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in PLC Programming, specifically Siemens. This role will involve developing, maintaining, and improving automated control systems for our material handling/distribution processes. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of control systems, have extensive Siemens PLC experience, and have experience with Siemens' hardware and software.

Responsibilities:
1. Design, develop and implement control systems to improve production efficiency, quality, and safety.
2. Program, troubleshoot and repair PLCs and related equipment to ensure optimal performance.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project objectives, system functionality and solve complex control problems.
4. Identify opportunities for system improvements, cost reductions, and operational efficiencies.
5. Provide technical support and training to maintenance and production staff on control systems.
6. Document control system and equipment configuration changes.
7. Participate in the design and installation of new manufacturing equipment and systems.
8. Ensure all control systems are compliant with industry standards and safety regulations.

Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or related field.
2. A minimum of 3+ years of experience in PLC Programming, PLC, Siemens, and Siemens PLC.
3. Proficient in PLC programming, including ladder logic, structured text, and function block diagrams.
4. In-depth knowledge of Siemens hardware and software, including S7, TIA Portal, and WinCC.
5. Strong understanding of control system architectures, networking, and industrial communication protocols.
6. Experience with HMI design and programming.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex control systems.
8. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly convey technical information to non-technical individuals.
9. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
10. Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
11. Must be safety conscious and adhere to all safety procedures and standards within the workplace.
