We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Cost Accountant to join our dynamic team in the manufacturing industry. As a Permanent Cost Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving our cost accounting systems, ensuring compliance with GAAP, SAP, and audit regulations, and providing budget analysis to the management team. You will play a key role in optimizing our operations and contributing to our overall success.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain cost accounting systems, including standard costing, inventory valuation, and product costing.
Ensure compliance with GAAP, SAP, and audit regulations.
Perform cost analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve profitability.
Provide budget analysis to the management team and assist in the development of annual budgets.
Prepare financial reports and statements, including variance analysis and performance metrics.
Partner with cross-functional teams to optimize operations and reduce costs.
Identify and implement process improvements to streamline accounting procedures.
Participate in ad-hoc projects and initiatives as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
5+ years of experience in cost accounting in the engineering industry.
Strong knowledge of GAAP, SAP, and audit regulations.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
Experience with budget analysis and financial reporting.
CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
