Sr. Cost Accountant

Jobot is partnering with a well-known manufacturing company looking to add a Senior-level Cost Accountant to the team in the Menomonee Falls Area for a full-time/ direct hire position reporting to the controller. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our client's financial growth and stability. You will be responsible for managing all phases of cost accounting to provide accurate information for financial reporting and support our company's manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Cost Accountant, you will be an integral part of our finance team with the following responsibilities:

1. Develop and manage a comprehensive cost accounting system to ensure accurate product costing.
2. Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to identify results, trends, and financial forecasts.
3. Manage and oversee inventory counts and valuation, including physical counts.
4. Partner with the manufacturing team to analyze manufacturing costs and compile cost reports.
5. Coordinate with other departments to ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
2. 3+ years of experience in cost accounting in a manufacturing environment.
3. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and familiarity with other financial software.
4. Strong analytical skills with a deep understanding of financial analysis and forecasting.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
6. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to effectively interact with both finance and non-finance personnel.
7. Knowledge of accounting principles and best practices, as well as applicable laws and regulations.
