Job Details
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Qualifications Needed:
- Lead and mentor the Cost Accounting Center of Excellence team, providing direction, coaching, and oversight
- Drive manufacturing cost accounting processes, including standard costing, variance analysis, and COGS reporting
- Manage inventory valuation, reconciliation, and BOM accuracy across multiple plants
- Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Procurement, IT, and Finance to ensure accurate financial insights and alignment
- Serve as key ERP (Oracle) cost accounting leader, ensuring system accuracy and leveraging data for reporting/decision-making
- Develop and implement cost accounting policies, processes, and internal controls
- Provide audit support, financial analysis, and operational recommendations to senior leadership
- Act as a strategic partner to the Sr. Director of Operations Finance in shaping the cost accounting vision
Qualifications Needed:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA a plus)
- Minimum 5+ years of cost accounting experience in manufacturing, including at least 2+ years in leadership
- Expertise in standard costing, variance analysis, inventory reconciliation, BOMs, and COGS
- Strong proficiency with Oracle ERP (other ERP experience considered)
- Experience in process or discrete manufacturing industries (building products, food, pharma, industrial preferred)
- Proven leadership and mentoring skills, with ability to build and guide a growing team
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities
