We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Sr. Estimator with a keen interest in Healthcare and Commercial Projects. OSHPD/HCAI experience a must. This position is ideal for a seasoned professional who is highly skilled in the Construction industry. The chosen candidate will be a crucial member of our team, responsible for preparing accurate and timely cost estimates for projects to aid in making informed decisions. This includes everything from evaluating bid specifications and drawings to ensuring that we know everything required to successfully bid and win the project. The role requires a deep understanding of healthcare construction, healthcare estimating, estimation, and preconstruction planning. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects and to contribute significantly to our company's success.
Responsibilities:
1. Analyze and comprehend project plans, requirements, and specifications to develop comprehensive, accurate estimates for healthcare and commercial projects.
2. Collaborate with architects, engineers, clients, contractors, and subcontractors to gather detailed information about projects.
3. Utilize specialized software to generate and present estimates and preconstruction plans.
4. Regularly review and update cost estimating methods, tools, and databases to ensure the most accurate and current information is being used.
5. Participate in proposal preparation and client presentations, providing clear and detailed breakdowns of estimated costs.
6. Manage and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing.
7. Lead the preconstruction planning process and provide input on schedules, construction methods, and staffing.
8. Understand and comply with all relevant health and safety regulations, particularly those related to healthcare construction.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5+ years of experience in estimation, specifically in healthcare construction and commercial projects.
2. Proven experience with healthcare estimating, estimation, and preconstruction planning.
3. Proficiency in utilizing estimating software and other relevant computer applications.
4. Exceptional analytical and mathematical skills, with a high level of accuracy in calculations and estimates.
5. Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to present and explain cost estimates to clients and stakeholders.
6. Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
7. A thorough understanding of construction methods, materials, standards, and regulations, particularly in the healthcare sector.
8. A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
9. Experience with HCAI is highly desirable.
10. Certification from a recognized professional body in estimating or construction is an added advantage.
