We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Sr. Estimator for Commercial Construction. The successful candidate will play a critical role in our organization, working directly with project managers, architects, engineers, and contractors to provide cost-effective solutions for our diverse portfolio of commercial construction projects. You will be responsible for preparing detailed estimates that reflect the cost of construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, insurance, and bonds.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Sr. Estimator, you will:
1. Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects at different stages, from conceptual to final.
2. Evaluate and analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other construction documents to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
3. Review data to determine material and labor requirements and prepare itemized lists.
4. Conduct risk analysis, ensuring that all potential costs have been accounted for in the final estimate.
5. Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, and contractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
6. Utilize specialized software for data analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.
7. Prepare and present cost estimates to clients, stakeholders, or bid committees.
8. Work on multiple estimations and deadlines simultaneously, maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
9. Keep up-to-date with the latest construction methods, materials, and trends.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimating, specifically in commercial construction.
2. Proven experience with GMP, Lump Sum, Conceptual Estimating, Renovations, TI, and Construction Estimating.
3. A bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
4. Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment.
5. Proficiency in using estimating software and spreadsheets.
6. Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
7. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
8. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
9. Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering information.
10. A team player with a positive attitude, who can also work independently when needed.
