We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly-analytical Sr. Financial Analyst to join our fast-paced hospitality industry team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to take on complex financial projects and directly contribute to our company's growth and success. The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for providing financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking, analyzing financial data, and creating financial models for decision support.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive financial analysis to guide business decisions, strategic initiatives, and cost management.
- Develop and maintain advanced financial models and conduct benchmarking to assess company performance and market trends.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, including detailed cash flow, P&L, and balance sheet analyses.
- Oversee the company's financial forecasting processes, using Power BI to create dynamic and visually compelling reports.
- Collaborate closely with accounting to ensure accurate financial reporting and assist in the company's budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements.
- Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
- Guide the cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures.
- Provide analysis of trends and forecasts and recommend actions for optimization.
- Recommend actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; study proposed changes in methods and materials.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. An MBA or related advanced degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a financial analysis role, preferably within the technology industry.
- Proficiency in financial modeling techniques and advanced knowledge of Excel.
- Familiarity with Power BI or similar business intelligence tools.
- Strong understanding of forecasting, cost accounting, and financial reporting.
- Ability to analyze complex data sets and convert them into actionable insights.
- Knowledge of current market trends and the ability to utilize this information to drive company success.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present and explain complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong strategic thinking abilities, with a focus on improving processes and driving growth.
