Responsibilities:
As a Sr Financial Reporting Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in our organization. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Preparing and analyzing complex financial reports and statements, ensuring their accuracy and compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
2. Assisting with the coordination and completion of annual audits and reviews.
3. Applying your knowledge of hedge accounting and derivative accounting to manage and mitigate financial risks.
4. Leading the process of consolidations and eliminations in the financial statements.
5. Working closely with other departments to provide financial insights and recommendations.
6. Developing and implementing effective financial reporting processes and procedures.
7. Keeping up-to-date with industry trends, changes in accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
8. Contributing to the continuous improvement of the financial reporting function by identifying opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Sr Financial Reporting Analyst position will have the following qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. An advanced degree or CPA certification is highly desirable.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in financial reporting, audit, and analysis, preferably within the energy industry.
3. Strong knowledge of hedge accounting, derivative accounting, consolidations, and eliminations.
4. Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and provide accurate and insightful financial reports.
5. Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
6. Proficiency in using financial software and systems.
7. Strong attention to detail, with the ability to produce high-quality work under tight deadlines.
8. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
