Are you an experienced Sr. HR Administrator with a keen interest in the construction industry? We are seeking a dynamic, proactive HR Generalist to join our team. This full-time, permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to play a key role in our company's growth and success. The HR Generalist will be responsible for managing all human resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee evaluations, processing employment changes, supporting programs, employee engagement, terminations, performance management, and employee relations. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in HR, ideally within the construction industry.
Responsibilities:
1. Recruitment: You will be responsible for the entire recruitment process, from creating job descriptions and advertisements to screening resumes, interviewing candidates, and making hiring decisions.
2. Onboarding: You will ensure a smooth transition for new employees, conducting orientations, setting up necessary systems, and answering any questions they may have.
3. Employee Evaluations: You will be in charge of conducting regular employee evaluations, providing feedback, and identifying areas for improvement or development.
4. Process Employment Changes: You will handle all employment changes, including promotions, transfers, and terminations, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date.
5. Support Programs: You will develop and implement HR programs that support the company's goals and objectives.
6. Employee Engagement: You will work to create a positive and engaging work environment, addressing any issues or concerns promptly and effectively.
7. Terminations: You will handle all aspects of employee terminations, including conducting exit interviews and ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed.
8. Performance Management: You will oversee the performance management process, setting goals, providing feedback, and assisting with career development.
9. Employee Relations: You will manage all employee relations issues, providing advice and guidance to both employees and management.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in Human Resources, preferably in the construction industry.
3. Knowledge of HR laws and regulations.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Strong organizational and time management skills.
6. Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
7. Proficient in HRIS and other HR technology.
8. Proven experience in managing the entire recruitment process.
9. Demonstrated ability in handling employee relations and performance management issues.
10. Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to work.
