Job Details

Overview: Currently hiring for a Senior BAS Field Technician who will be responsible for the installation start-up and commissioning of building HVAC automation and control systems.

This role will be roughly 80% in the field and responsibilities include performing start-up, checking, testing, system diagnostics, and commissioning from system-level controllers to end devices for small to medium-sized new or retrofit projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform necessary point-to-point check-out, commissioning, diagnostic, and maintenance procedures on building automation systems, front-end workstations, servers, electric and pneumatic controls.
  • Troubleshoot and repair building automation system panels, including communications equipment, printed circuit boards, power supplies, electrical/electronic controls, sensors, and transducers.
  • Efficiently edit computer programs for building automation system points such as determining conversion patterns, defining point acronyms, and/or soliciting alarm specifications from operating personnel.
  • Perform any assigned preventative maintenance, repair, and emergency service calls.
  • Maintain project-related documentation including but not limited to commissioning documentation, daily reports, as-builts and status reports.

Requirements:
  • 3+ years of building automation (BAS/BMS) or commercial HVAC controls experience
  • Willingness to be in the field locally at client sites roughly 80% of the time.
  • Familiarity with one or more of the following BAS systems: Schneider Electric, Siemens, JCI, ALC, Trane, Delta Controls, Distech, Honeywell, or other
  • Experience with Tridium Niagara is a plus
