Our law firm is seeking a seasoned and detail-oriented Sr. Litigation Attorney specializing in Financial Services. This is a permanent role that will involve representing our clients in complex financial disputes, specifically related to loan enforcement, foreclosure, collections, and bankruptcy court. The ideal candidate will have a strong litigation background, with the ability to manage a large caseload and effectively communicate with clients and opposing counsel. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in the legal industry, with a focus on financial services litigation.

Our law firm is seeking a seasoned and detail-oriented Sr. Litigation Attorney specializing in Financial Services. This is a permanent role that will involve representing our clients in complex financial disputes, specifically related to loan enforcement, foreclosure, collections, and bankruptcy court. The ideal candidate will have a strong litigation background, with the ability to manage a large caseload and effectively communicate with clients and opposing counsel. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in the legal industry, with a focus on financial services litigation.
Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in state and federal court, bankruptcy court, and before administrative bodies
- Conduct first chair trials, hearings, arbitrations, and mediations
- Review, draft, and negotiate loan documents, pleadings, motions, and discovery
- Advise clients on the legal implications of financial transactions, ensuring a full understanding of the risks and legal obligations
- Develop and implement litigation strategy for complex financial disputes
- Manage and oversee the work of junior attorneys and support staff
- Maintain current knowledge of changes and developments in the law, and advise clients accordingly
- Develop relationships with clients and work to understand their business goals and legal needs
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a coordinated and efficient approach to client service
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school required
- Admission to the Minnesota state bar required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial services litigation
- Proven first-chair experience in loan enforcement, foreclosure, collections, landlord/tenant issues in state court, federal court, bankruptcy court
- Extensive knowledge of loan documents and the ability to review, draft, and negotiate them
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage a large caseload and work under pressure
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Superior negotiation skills and a proven track record of successful dispute resolution
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High level of professionalism and ethical standards
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
