Our organization is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Network Engineer to join our Tech Services department. This is a permanent role that will require you to work closely with our IT team and other stakeholders to design, implement, and maintain our network infrastructure. You will play a crucial part in ensuring our network systems are running smoothly and securely, thus enabling our business to achieve its goals. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned Network Engineer who is looking to take on a challenging and rewarding role.
Responsibilities:
1. Design, implement, and manage the company's network infrastructure to ensure high performance and security.
2. Troubleshoot complex network issues and provide solutions to restore functionality in a timely manner.
3. Develop and maintain comprehensive network architecture, topologies, and diagrams.
4. Collaborate with other IT professionals and stakeholders to understand their needs and provide appropriate network solutions.
5. Prepare and maintain technical documentation related to network configuration, network mapping, processes, and service records.
6. Communicate technical issues effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
7. Monitor network performance and integrity, and implement necessary upgrades or fixes.
8. Research and integrate new networking technologies to improve our systems and operations.
9. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior network engineers and other IT staff.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 7 years of experience in a network engineer role.
3. Extensive experience with network technologies and protocols including OSPF, DHCP, and SD-Wan.
4. Proven experience in advanced network troubleshooting and network architecture design.
5. Strong knowledge of network topologies and the ability to create and maintain network diagrams.
6. Excellent technical documentation skills.
7. Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.
8. Certifications in advanced networking such as Cisco CCNP, Juniper JNCIP, or Fortinet FCP are required.
9. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
10. Familiarity with IT security best practices and the ability to implement them in network design and management.
11. Strong team player with the ability to work independently when needed.
