We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Project Manager to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent position offering an excellent opportunity to work on a variety of exciting construction projects, primarily within the higher education sector. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of construction industry knowledge, project management expertise, and a proven track record in leading large-scale projects from conception to completion. Responsibilities:
As a Senior Project Manager, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
1. Overseeing all stages of project life cycle management from initiation to completion.
2. Developing, coordinating, and implementing complex project plans and schedules.
3. Managing project resources, including subcontractors and materials, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
4. Collaborating with architects, engineers, and other construction professionals to ensure project goals are met.
5. Identifying, assessing, and managing project risks, issues, and changes.
6. Regularly reporting on project status to stakeholders, including progress, risks, and forecasts.
7. Ensuring all work complies with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations.
8. Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
9. Continuously improving project management processes and practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you must possess the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Senior Project Manager in the construction industry, with a focus on higher education projects.
2. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
3. Proven track record of managing large-scale construction projects from start to finish.
4. Strong knowledge of construction processes, equipment, materials, standards, and safety regulations.
5. Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
6. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
7. Proficiency in project management software and tools.
8. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
9. Professional Project Management (PMP) certification is a plus.
