Job Details

The Systems Admin performs a variety of tasks in connection with the analysis, development, installation, implementation, or support of information technology systems within the Clinical Trials organization under minimal supervisory review. This individual collaborates with end-users, performs maintenance and troubleshooting for one or more specific applications (Specifically SCC Soft and Data Innovations Instrument Manager systems). Interacts with operational peers on a continuous basis to understand needs and drive results via IT systems
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide System Support for end-users of Clinical Trials IT systems at client facilities. (Specifically SCC Soft and Data Innovations Instrument Manager systems)
  • Proactively engage end-users to utilize systems’ main features and core processes/functionalities more efficiently. Possesses a developing understanding of operational workflows and functionality needs
  • Test and monitor system changes made to serve new purposes or improve workflow. Uses computer applications such as spreadsheets, word processing, calendar, e-mail and database software to perform assignments.
  • Demonstrates skills with front end application configuration and end user support. Completing documentation such as validation deliverables and quality issue close out actions. Some level of training to IT support and end users.
  • Maintain awareness and participate in projects within respective area of support. Complete assigned tasks in a timely and accurate fashion
  • Provide quality customer service. Follow-up with customers to ensure that problems have been resolved to their satisfaction. Respond to IT service desk incidents and service requests promptly.
  • Manage expectations of users and maintain positive customer relationships; work with customers of varying skill levels.
  • Exhibit excellent phone manners and the ability to remain professional, calm, and friendly even under pressure
  • Help other IT Applications team members resolve problems encountered in performance of their functions.
  • Work directly with clients and customers with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of the main features and core processes/functionalities of Clinical Trials LIMS and other Clinical Trials supporting IT systems.
  • Provide feedback to the Systems Team Lead for continuous evaluation/improvement of approach to hands-on support.
  • Perform other functions the Systems Team Lead deems necessary to address client’s current and future business strategies, challenges and opportunities.
  • Complies with data confidentiality policies; maintain confidentiality of patient and/or business related information.
