The successful candidate will be responsible for managing client relationships, conducting tax planning, and reviewing tax returns. Responsibilities:
As a Senior Tax Accountant, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
1. Preparing and reviewing complex tax returns (individual, corporate, partnership, multi-state, etc.) ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal and state tax laws.
2. Providing tax planning services and offering strategic financial advice to clients.
3. Researching and interpreting tax laws and regulations to ensure optimal tax benefits for clients.
4. Collaborating with team members to manage, develop, and maintain client relationships.
5. Identifying and implementing tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and increase client profitability.
6. Assisting in IRS and state tax audits.
7. Keeping up-to-date with industry trends, changes in tax laws, and new tax planning strategies.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the role of Senior Tax Accountant, candidates must meet the following qualifications:
1. A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA is required.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on tax.
3. Proficient in tax software and technology platforms.
4. Strong knowledge of federal and state tax codes, regulations, and case law.
5. Demonstrated ability to conduct tax planning and review tax returns.
6. Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax issues in a clear and concise manner.
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines.
9. High ethical standards and professionalism, with a commitment to client confidentiality.
