Job Details
Responsibilities:
As a Contract Staff Accountant, your key responsibilities will include:
1. Performing monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
2. Analyzing financial statements for discrepancies and other issues that should be brought to the CFO's attention.
3. Reviewing and improving existing accounting systems and procedures.
4. Preparing and presenting financial reports for meetings and investors.
5. Working closely with the financial team to compile and analyze data.
6. Ensuring compliance with all internal processes.
7. Utilizing Microsoft Excel and Netsuite to streamline accounting tasks.
8. Performing bank reconciliations regularly to ensure accuracy.
9. Managing job costing in industries such as construction and manufacturing.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the Contract Staff Accountant position, you should have the following qualifications:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in an accounting role.
3. Strong knowledge of account reconciliation, general ledger, financial reporting, and financial statements.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Netsuite.
5. Experience in construction, manufacturing, or job costing is required.
6. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
10. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
11. Certification such as CPA or CMA is preferred but not mandatory.
