Qualifications Needed
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 2-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in retail, hospitality, or public accounting
- CPA certification or progress towards CPA preferred
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations
- Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems preferred
- Experience with Coupa or similar billing and invoicing software preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including VLOOKUPS and Pivot Tables)
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with ability to manage multiple priorities
- Willingness to collaborate cross-functionally within the organization
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Support month-end close processes including preparation of journal entries
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, bank and credit card reconciliations
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processing, ensuring accurate and timely payments
- Assist with payroll processing, verifying timesheets and payroll deductions
- Support preparation of tax filings such as income tax forms, sales tax, 1099s, and payroll taxes
- Provide documentation and support for internal and external audits
- Generate ad hoc financial reports and analyses for leadership
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
