We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Staff Accountant to join our team in the Healthcare industry. This is an exceptional opportunity for a self-motivated professional to contribute to a team that is truly making a difference in people's lives. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in managing a wide range of financial responsibilities including fixed assets, reconciling, financials, fixed asset accounting, GL, healthcare accounting, accruals, entries, year-end close, monthly reporting, and balance sheet. The ideal candidate will have at least 2+ years of experience in a similar role.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and manage all general ledger activity, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in alignment with financial deadlines.
2. Manage and track the performance of invested assets in keeping with policies and investment strategy.
3. Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for management review.
4. Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly, maintain supporting schedules, and prepare necessary journal entries.
5. Maintain fixed asset system including addition, disposal, and depreciation of assets, and reconciliation to general ledger.
6. Assist with the preparation of year-end audit schedules and respond to auditor inquiries.
7. Perform monthly balance sheet, income statement and changes in financial position/budget variance analyses.
8. Ensure compliance with all internal processes and controls as well as compliance with all regulatory requirements.
9. Assist in budget preparation and management activities.
10. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
2. Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in accounting, preferably in the healthcare industry.
3. Proven experience with fixed assets, reconciling, financials, fixed asset accounting, GL, healthcare accounting, accruals, entries, year-end close, monthly reporting, and balance sheet.
4. Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
5. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
6. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
7. Experience with accounting software and databases.
8. Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills.
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
10. High attention to detail and accuracy.
