Are you a finance professional with a passion for numbers and a knack for accuracy? If so, we’re looking for a Staff Accountant to join our dynamic and fast-paced team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a thriving finance industry, where you will be a key player in maintaining financial health and driving profitability.

As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for a range of general accounting tasks, but primarily focused on reconciling bank statements, preparing financial reports, managing accounts payable and receivable, and maintaining the general ledger. You will also be responsible for performing account reconciliations and working with Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial modeling.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform monthly bank settlements by reconciling all bank accounts.
  • Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports.
  • Maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Manage the accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and revenue collection.
  • Perform account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
  • Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support.
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel to streamline accounting tasks and enhance reporting capabilities.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve financial processes and systems.
  • Comply with all financial regulations and stay updated on industry trends and changes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Proficient in Bank Reconciliation, Financial Reporting, General Ledger Accounting, Accounts Payable & Receivable, Account Reconciliation, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting and legislation.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to analyze complex financial data.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, vlookups, and other functions to analyze data and enhance reporting capabilities.
