Our company, a leading player in the sales industry, is looking for a dedicated and passionate Permanent Staff Accountant to join our vibrant team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in our financial department, responsible for maintaining financial records, performing account reconciliations, and assisting with close processes. You will also be tasked with ensuring company compliance with financial regulations, GAAP standards, and internal policies. Responsibilities:

1. Prepare financial statements, business activity reports, and forecasts.
2. Monitor financial details to ensure legal compliance.
3. Supervise lower-level clerks, including bookkeepers.
4. Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations to project future revenues and expenses.
5. Compute taxes owed, prepare tax returns, and ensure prompt payment.
6. Inspect account books and accounting systems for efficiency and use of accepted accounting procedures.
7. Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems.
8. Assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards of financial and operational information.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
3. Proficiency in GAAP and other relevant financial regulations.
4. Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting best practices, laws, standards, and state/national regulations.
5. Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail.
6. Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
7. Strong computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Office applications and accounting software programs.
8. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial data and information to non-financial colleagues.
9. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
10. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is preferred, but not required.
