Job Details

Responsibilities:

As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing the general ledger and conducting account reconciliations.
  • Preparing, reviewing, and analyzing financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Handling accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing, payment processing, and follow-up on outstanding receivables.
  • Assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Participating in budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Ensuring compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Assisting with audits and tax preparations.
  • Collaborating with other departments to improve financial procedures and ensure financial integrity.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Permanent Staff Accountant position should have the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 1 year of experience in accounting or a related role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Experience with general ledger functions, account reconciliation, financial statement preparation, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify discrepancies or inconsistencies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts and data to non-financial stakeholders.
