Staff Accountant

We are leading real-estate development, acquisition, and management firm, specializing in self-storage properties. We are looking for an energetic Property Accountant who enjoys a fast-paced environment to join our team!

We are a leading real-estate development firm looking for a Property Accountant to join our dynamic team. As a Property Accountant, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of property accounting, including payroll processing, filing sales and use tax returns, NetSuite, and month-end close. You will work closely with our finance team to ensure that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of property accounting, including payroll processing, filing sales and use tax returns, NetSuite, and month-end close
• Ensure that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
• Review and reconcile general ledger accounts
• Monitor and maintain fixed asset records
• Prepare and file property tax returns
• Assist with audits and other financial reporting requirements
• Provide support to other members of the finance team as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• 3+ years of experience in property accounting or related field
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
• Experience with payroll processing, filing sales and use tax returns, NetSuite, and month-end close
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial software applications
