Are you an experienced Staff Accountant with a knack for accuracy and details? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our dynamic Finance team as a Permanent Staff Accountant. This position will give you the chance to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment where you can utilize your expertise in general ledger, budgeting, AP, AR, invoicing, stop payments, and fixed asset reconciliation. Responsibilities:
As a Staff Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in our finance team. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Maintaining and managing the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
2. Overseeing the budgeting process, including the preparation, analysis, and presentation of budgets.
3. Managing the accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring all invoices are processed and payments are received on time.
4. Overseeing the invoicing process, ensuring all invoices are accurate and sent out in a timely manner.
5. Processing stop payments and reconciling any discrepancies.
6. Maintaining the fixed asset register, including performing regular asset reconciliations.
7. Assisting with month-end and year-end closing processes.
8. Preparing and presenting financial reports to management.
9. Ensuring compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.
10. Collaborating with other departments to improve financial processes and systems.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
3. Proficiency in general ledger, budgeting, AP, AR, invoicing, stop payments, and fixed asset reconciliation.
4. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and prepare financial reports.
5. Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
6. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
7. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present financial information in a clear and understandable manner.
8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
9. Knowledge of financial software and databases.
10. A professional accounting certification (such as CPA, CMA, ACCA) is a plus.
