We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, challenging environment, and who is well-versed in agricultural accounting. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in account reconciliation, general ledger accounting, and financial reporting.
Responsibilities:
As a Staff Accountant, your duties will include but are not limited to:
1. Preparing accurate and timely financial reports for management.
2. Handling account reconciliations and general ledger accounting tasks.
3. Performing financial analysis to support business decisions.
4. Assisting in the development and maintenance of annual budgets.
5. Applying cost accounting methods to help management understand the financial implications of business decisions.
6. Processing payroll in a timely and accurate manner.
7. Managing accounts payable and receivable.
8. Conducting internal audits to ensure financial reporting accuracy.
9. Utilizing Microsoft Excel to manage and analyze financial data.
10. Collaborating with other team members to improve financial processes and procedures.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you must have:
1. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the agricultural sector.
3. Proficiency in financial reporting, account reconciliation, and general ledger accounting.
4. Demonstrated experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and cost accounting.
5. Experience in payroll processing and managing accounts payable and receivable.
6. Knowledge of auditing principles and practices.
7. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
8. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
9. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
11. High attention to detail and accuracy.
