Job Details:
We are searching for a dynamic and experienced Staff Accountant to join our Accounting + Finance team. You will be responsible for maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledgers; preparing and analyzing budgets; and performing general bookkeeping. The ideal candidate has a strong background in accounting, excellent attention to detail, and a firm commitment to maintaining our financial practices.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate, timely financial statements in accordance with our established schedule and with input from the rest of the accounting department
• Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
• Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and other issues that should be brought to the CFO’s attention
• Review all inter-company transactions and generate invoices as necessary
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts
• Delegate financial responsibilities to accounting team
• Coordinate semi-annual audits and assist CFO with conducting audits
• Conduct regular ledger activities
• Prepare documentation for external auditors
• Utilize Microsoft PowerBI for ad hoc financial analysis and reporting
• Perform 3 Way Match to ensure accuracy of invoices
• Aid in preparation of year-end close process
• Assist in the production of the annual budget and forecasts
• Provide insightful information and expectations to senior executives to aid in long-term and short-term decision making
• Research and reconcile all discrepancies

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in general or tax accounting
• Experience with GL, Fixed Asset Accounting, Manufacturing Accounting, Invoicing, Income Statement, AP, Year End Close, Monthly, 3 Way Match, Microsoft PowerBI
• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
• Self-motivated and self-directed; able to work without supervision
• Accurate and precise attention to detail
• Strong aptitude for numbers, spreadsheets, and financial reports
• Able to analyze large amounts of data and compile detailed reports
• Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations
