The Cost Accountant will play a key role in tracking and analyzing product costs, managing inventory valuation, and supporting profitability analysis across multiple retail categories. This individual will work cross-functionally with merchandising, supply chain, and operations teams to ensure cost accuracy and transparency in financial reporting.

Job Details
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or CMA designation is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on cost accounting experience, preferably within a consumer products manufacturing environment.
- Deep understanding of cost accounting principles, methodologies, and systems.
- Proven experience in inventory management, margin analysis, and product cost tracking.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and report on key product category cost and profitability metrics to support strategic pricing and margin improvement initiatives.
- Skilled in establishing KPIs, evaluating cost drivers, and implementing cost control procedures.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience working with ERP systems; familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is highly desirable.
