Our company is a leading player in the manufacturing industry, and we are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent, full-time position where you will play a crucial role in our financial department, ensuring our accounting operations run smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for preparing financial statements, conducting budget analyses, and managing ledgers. Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
2. Manage the company's general ledger system and complete monthly closings.
3. Perform daily accounting tasks such as maintaining the accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing, and bank reconciliations.
4. Utilize Workday Financials for various accounting operations.
5. Assist with budget preparation and financial planning processes.
6. Use Microsoft Excel for data entry, financial analysis, and reporting.
7. Ensure compliance with all internal processes and legal standards.
8. Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
9. Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in financial reports and statements.
10. Provide advice on financial matters impacting the company, under the guidance of the senior accountant.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. A minimum of three years of experience as a Staff Accountant or a similar role in the manufacturing industry.
3. Strong knowledge of GAAP, accrual-based accounting, and general ledger functions.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with Workday Financials.
5. Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
8. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
9. A self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
10. CPA or CMA certification would be a plus.
