Responsibilities:
Qualifications:
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures.
- Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions.
- Analyze financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital, and prepares balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports to summarize and interpret current and projected company financial position for other managers.
- Execute budgeting, forecasting, and projection duties, providing critical data to the management team.
- Perform general ledger functions, including account reconciliation and management.
- Collaborate with the financial management team to enhance and streamline financial procedures and systems.
- Ensure compliance with all internal processes and legal requirements.
- Assist with audits and tax preparation as required.
- Participate in strategic planning, fraud prevention, and budget development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, financial analysis, and general ledger management.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
