We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly analytical Permanent Staff Audit Accountant to join our esteemed Accounting and Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of clients and industries, and to apply your expertise in IRS, Risk, and Accounting. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of success in managing audits and financial analysis. This position will offer you the chance to establish and build relationships with clients, and to contribute to the company's strategic goals.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Staff Audit Accountant, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
1. Conducting internal and external audits to ensure compliance with IRS regulations and company policies.
2. Evaluating financial information for discrepancies and irregularities and creating detailed reports of your findings.
3. Identifying potential risk areas within the financial operations of the company and recommending appropriate mitigation strategies.
4. Preparing financial statements, reports, and other documentation as required.
5. Assisting with tax planning and compliance, including the preparation of tax returns.
6. Providing guidance and support to junior staff members, ensuring that they are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to perform their duties effectively.
7. Contributing to the continuous improvement of audit processes and procedures.
8. Liaising with external auditors and managing any necessary corrective actions.
9. Keeping up-to-date with changes in financial regulations and legislation.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the Permanent Staff Audit Accountant position, you must possess the following qualifications:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification would be a plus.
2. A minimum of 2 years of experience in auditing, accounting, or a related field.
3. Familiarity with IRS regulations and a strong understanding of risk management principles.
4. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
5. Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and identify trends.
6. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to a variety of audiences.
7. Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
8. Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in your work.
9. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
10. A commitment to maintaining the highest standards of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
