We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Staff Pharmacist to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the right and appropriate medication prescriptions. In addition, the candidate will be involved in advising healthcare providers on drug dosage, side effects, and potential interactions. This role is integral to our goal of providing top-tier patient care and improving the quality of life for our patients, particularly in the geriatric population.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the right and appropriate medication prescriptions. In addition, the candidate will be involved in advising healthcare providers on drug dosage, side effects, and potential interactions. This role is integral to our goal of providing top-tier patient care and improving the quality of life for our patients, particularly in the geriatric population.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately interpret and fill prescription orders issued by healthcare providers.
- Monitor and manage the medication therapy of specific patients to ensure optimal therapeutic outcomes.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop patient treatment plans.
- Ensure medication safety by identifying potential drug interactions or allergies.
- Maintain accurate patient records to ensure information is complete, up-to-date, and easily accessible.
- Stay current with the latest pharmaceutical advancements, drug therapies, and medication uses and effects, particularly those relevant to geriatric care.
- Follows current guidelines for preparing all compounds, including I.V. therapy.
- Supervise and mentor pharmacy technicians and assistants.
- Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations relating to pharmaceutical transactions.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited School of Pharmacy
- Active and unrestricted pharmacist license in the state.
- Excellent knowledge of drug administration and health & safety guidelines.
- Outstanding decision-making skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with pharmacy management systems and databases.
- Ability to maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
- Must have a strong commitment to patient safety and compliance with all healthcare regulations.
