As a State and Local Tax Senior, you will play a key role in advising our clients on state and local tax matters, ensuring compliance with tax laws, and identifying opportunities for tax savings. You will lead a team of tax professionals and work closely with clients to understand their business objectives and provide strategic tax solutions. Your expertise and leadership will contribute to the overall growth and success of our firm.

Responsibilities:

Advise clients on state and local tax matters, ensuring compliance and identifying tax savings opportunities.
Manage and nurture client relationships as the primary point of contact for tax-related issues.
Oversee tax compliance, including preparation and review of state and local tax returns.
Provide strategic tax planning and advisory services, considering clients' business objectives.
Support the State and Local Tax Manager in leading and mentoring the tax team.
Contribute to business development efforts, including client meetings and proposals.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
CPA or relevant professional certification.
3-5 years of experience in state and local tax within a public accounting firm.
Strong knowledge of tax laws and compliance requirements.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in tax software and technology tools.
