We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and experienced Oncology Nurse to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will provide the highest level of care to patients battling various types of cancer. This includes administering chemotherapy, implementing new methods of symptom treatment, and monitoring patients' health. The Oncology Nurse will work closely with a team of healthcare professionals to provide the best possible patient care. The candidate will also have the opportunity to participate in research and contribute to the development of new treatment methods. This role requires a nurse who is certified in bone marrow transplant, inpatient hematology, and stem cell therapy.

Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive care to patients with cancer, including those undergoing chemotherapy, radiation, surgery, or other treatments.
- Administer medications, implement patient care plans, and monitor patient progress.
- Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals including doctors, radiologists, and therapists to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Educate patients and their families about cancer, its effects, and ways to manage symptoms and side effects.
- Participate in cancer research studies and contribute to the development of innovative treatment methods.
- Conduct patient assessments and document medical history.
- Be an advocate for patients and their families, providing emotional support and counseling when needed.
- Ensure all cancer treatments and medications are safely administered.
- Monitor patient reactions and progress during treatment.
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Oncology Nurse.
- Bone Marrow Transplant Certified Nurse (BMTCN) certification.
- Experience in Inpatient Hematology.
- Experience with stem cell therapy.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient care skills.
- Ability to work in a high-stress environment and handle emotional situations.
- Strong understanding of oncology treatments, medications, and side effects.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals.
- Commitment to ongoing education and staying updated on the latest oncology nursing research and treatment methods.
