Responsibilities:

As a Sterile Processing Tech, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the cleanliness, functionality, and inventory of healthcare equipment. Your responsibilities will include:

1. Disassembling, cleaning, assembling, and sterilizing reusable surgical instruments or supplies for re-use.
2. Inspecting, testing, and maintaining medical equipment to ensure it is functioning properly and safe for use.
3. Maintaining a detailed record of the sterilization process, including assembly and disassembly procedures, and any malfunctions or repairs needed.
4. Ensuring the sterilization area and equipment are clean and safe, following all relevant health and safety guidelines.
5. Working closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure all equipment is available and prepared for surgeries or procedures.
6. Participating in quality assurance checks to maintain the highest standards of sterilization.
7. Maintaining a high level of knowledge about sterilization practices and industry standards, including updates and changes.

Qualifications:

We are looking for a candidate who is committed to providing the highest standard of care and has a keen eye for detail. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

1. A minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Sterile Processing Tech or in a similar role.
2. Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician is highly desirable.
3. Experience with disassembling, cleaning, assembling, and sterilizing medical equipment.
4. Knowledge of standard sterilization procedures, infection control, and safety guidelines.
5. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
6. Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work well with other healthcare professionals.
7. Physical stamina to stand for long periods and the ability to lift heavy equipment.
8. A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
9. Must pass a background check and drug screening.
