We are seeking a dynamic, highly-skilled, and passionate Permanent Stormwater Group Manager to join our fast-paced Engineering team. This role is integral to the company's success and offers a remarkable opportunity for a seasoned professional to make a significant impact on our projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and leading the stormwater group, ensuring that all projects are executed to the highest standard and within the stipulated timelines. This position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in a related field.

Responsibilities:

The Permanent Stormwater Group Manager will:

1. Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of stormwater management systems.
2. Perform regular inspections of stormwater systems to ensure they are in optimal condition and comply with all relevant regulations and standards.
3. Lead and manage a team of engineers and technicians, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
4. Coordinate with other departments to ensure that stormwater management considerations are integrated into all projects.
5. Develop and implement strategic plans for the stormwater group, setting clear objectives and performance metrics.
6. Stay abreast of the latest developments in stormwater management technology and regulations, leveraging this knowledge to improve our systems and processes.
7. Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies, maintaining strong professional relationships and ensuring that all projects meet client expectations.
8. Conduct risk assessments for stormwater projects, identifying potential issues and implementing proactive solutions.
9. Prepare and present reports on the progress and results of stormwater projects to senior management and clients.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Permanent Stormwater Group Manager position will have:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in stormwater management or a related field.
2. Professional certifications such as Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) and Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESC).
3. Proven experience in designing and inspecting stormwater systems.
4. Strong leadership and team management skills.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.
6. A deep understanding of stormwater regulations and standards.
7. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address issues proactively.
8. The ability to work effectively under pressure, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
9. Proficiency in using stormwater management software and other relevant technology.
10. A bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field. A master's degree or further professional qualifications will be an advantage.
