Responsibilities:
Qualifications:
- Planning and designing various structural systems and components to withstand different types of stresses and pressures.
- Conducting feasibility studies and site inspections to determine the suitability of construction plans.
- Using specialized software such as Revit, Mathcad, and CAD for creating detailed structural designs and plans.
- Collaborating with architects and construction managers to ensure the structural soundness of the designs.
- Preparing technical reports, designs, and drawings to present the design, analysis, and project progress.
- Ensuring compliance with the design specifications, safety standards, and clients' requirements.
- Conducting risk management to identify potential hazards and to ensure the safety of the structures.
- Applying knowledge of AASHTO, ACI, and environmental engineering in the design and construction process.
- Performing structural design and calculations accurately and efficiently.
- Attending project meetings and providing technical advice to team members and clients.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. A Master's degree will be an added advantage.
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a specific focus on bridge design.
- Proficiency in using structural engineering and design software such as Revit, Mathcad, and CAD.
- Excellent knowledge of AASHTO, ACI, and environmental engineering principles.
- Strong understanding of structural analysis and design techniques.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license is required.
