We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Substation Group Manager to join our team. The chosen candidate will play a critical role in managing and overseeing the design, construction, and maintenance of our substations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead a team of engineers and technicians, ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of our substations. The successful candidate will be responsible for the strategic planning, project management, and technical oversight of our substation projects. This is a full-time, permanent position that requires a high level of technical expertise and leadership skills.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Substation Group Manager to join our team. The chosen candidate will play a critical role in managing and overseeing the design, construction, and maintenance of our substations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead a team of engineers and technicians, ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of our substations. The successful candidate will be responsible for the strategic planning, project management, and technical oversight of our substation projects. This is a full-time, permanent position that requires a high level of technical expertise and leadership skills.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the design, construction, and maintenance of substations to ensure compliance with NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEEE, ANS standards, and company policies.
- Lead, manage, and mentor a team of engineers and technicians, providing technical guidance and support as needed.
- Develop and implement strategic plans for the substation group, including resource allocation, project scheduling, and budgeting.
- Coordinate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
- Review and approve design drawings, schematics, and technical documents.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure the safety and reliability of our substations.
- Manage and resolve any technical issues or challenges that arise during the project lifecycle.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulations related to substations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is required. An advanced degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in substation design, construction, and maintenance, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Familiarity with NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEEE, ANS standards, and schematics is essential.
- Proven experience in project management, including planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to lead and mentor a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency in using engineering software and tools.
- Must be a registered Professional Engineer (PE), or the ability to obtain registration within six months of employment.
