We are on the lookout for a dynamic, results-driven Superintendent to join our Commercial Construction team. This role is perfect for a seasoned professional with a strong background in the construction industry, particularly in commercial, retail, municipal, mixed-use, multifamily, and educational sectors. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in ground-up construction, with a keen eye for detail and exceptional project management skills. The Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing all stages of the construction process, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all aspects of the construction process, from initial planning and foundation work to final inspections and project closeout.
2. Coordinate and supervise the activities of construction crews and subcontractors, ensuring all work is carried out to plan and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
3. Review and interpret project blueprints and specifications, using Bluebeam software.
4. Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera, ensuring all deadlines are met and any delays are promptly addressed and communicated to all relevant parties.
5. Manage project budgets, controlling costs and maximizing profitability.
6. Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits, identifying and resolving any issues or hazards.
7. Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress and addressing any concerns or queries.
8. Ensure all work complies with local and national building codes and regulations.
9. Lead and motivate construction teams, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
10. Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement, implementing new technologies and methodologies to enhance efficiency and quality.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years' experience in a Superintendent or similar role within the commercial construction industry.
2. Proven experience in ground-up construction, with a strong portfolio of completed commercial, retail, municipal, mixed-use, multifamily, and educational projects.
3. Expertise in project management software, including Bluebeam and Primavera.
