Job Details

We are seeking a Construction Superintendent to oversee field operations for commercial, institutional, and public-sector construction projects throughout North Carolina.

Job Description

  • Oversee day-to-day field operations from mobilization through closeout
  • Manage subcontractors, vendors, field crews, and site logistics to keep projects on schedule
  • Coordinate closely with Project Managers, owners, architects, engineers, and inspectors
  • Maintain project schedules, look-ahead schedules, site documentation, and daily reports
  • Enforce jobsite safety standards and ensure compliance with company and OSHA requirements
  • Monitor quality control, workmanship, materials, and installation standards in the field
  • Lead jobsite meetings and communicate project updates clearly to internal and external teams
  • Identify field issues early and work with project teams to resolve conflicts efficiently
  • Support punch list completion, inspections, turnover, and final project closeout

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of construction superintendent experience with a general contractor
  • Experience managing commercial, institutional, education, healthcare, municipal, or public-sector projects preferred
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, site logistics, and subcontractor coordination
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedules
  • Proven ability to manage field teams, maintain safety standards, and drive project execution
  • Strong communication skills with owners, subcontractors, inspectors, and internal project teams
  • Proficiency with construction technology such as Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms preferred
  • OSHA certification preferred
  • Ability to travel to project sites throughout North Carolina as needed
