We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Superintendent for Commercial TI Projects in the Construction industry. This is an exceptional opportunity for an individual with a strong background in TI, Office, Education, Healthcare, Hospitality, and Commercial Construction to join a dynamic and growth-oriented team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the construction process from conception to completion, ensuring all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget. This role requires a minimum of 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
Responsibilities:
1. Supervise all aspects of construction projects from planning to implementation, ensuring all projects adhere to quality standards and guidelines.
2. Allocate and manage resources to ensure that they are available when they are needed throughout the construction projects.
3. Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring they understand their responsibilities and tasks.
4. Meet contractual conditions of performance, reviewing the work progress on a daily basis.
5. Ensure all on-site personnel comply with project procedures, safety program requirements, work rules, etc.
6. Document all project activities and report to the management regularly, providing internal reports on project status.
7. Resolve any problems that may arise, ensuring the projects are completed on time and within budget.
8. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other construction and building specialists.
9. Conduct on-site investigations to ensure the project is following the architectural plans.
10. Negotiate contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field is preferred.
2. Minimum of 5+ years of proven experience in a construction management or supervisory role, specifically in commercial TI projects.
3. Thorough knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and OSHA guidelines.
4. Ability to read and understand complex architectural and engineering drawings.
5. In-depth understanding of construction procedures and project management principles.
6. Familiarity with construction/ project management software.
7. Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
8. Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
9. A strong eye for detail and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
10. Knowledge of building codes, standards of practice, and safety regulations.
11. Proficient in MS Office and construction management software.
12. PMP or equivalent certification would be considered an advantage.
