This position will play a pivotal role in the planning, management, and execution of commercial multi-family projects. You will be responsible for supervising all on-site construction, including scheduling subcontractors, resolving day-to-day problems on the job site, and inspecting all work during construction to ensure compliance with plans and specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial ground up, wood frame, and multifamily construction.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Superintendent to join our team in the Construction Industry. This position will play a pivotal role in the planning, management, and execution of commercial multi-family projects. You will be responsible for supervising all on-site construction, including scheduling subcontractors, resolving day-to-day problems on the job site, and inspecting all work during construction to ensure compliance with plans and specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial ground up, wood frame, and multifamily construction.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of the construction project from planning to implementation.
- Allocate resources for assigned projects.
- Supervise onsite personnel and subcontractors.
- Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, and clients.
- Negotiate with contractors to receive reasonable order costs.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications.
- Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
- Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status.
- Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a Commercial Superintendent, Multifamily Construction Superintendent, or in a similar role.
- Proven experience in multi-family, podium construction, and healthcare construction.
- In-depth understanding of construction procedures, material, and project management principles.
- Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards.
- Proficient in using construction management software.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Ability to communicate and report effectively.
- Problem-solving abilities.
- Good physical condition and stamina.
- Bachelor's degree in construction science, construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field is preferred.
