Job Details

We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to join our dynamic team in the Construction industry. This role is perfect for a professional who has a passion for overseeing and directing construction projects from conception to completion, reviewing the project in-depth to schedule deliverables, and estimating costs. Our ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction procedures, material, and project management principles.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all stages of project life cycle and manage construction projects from start to finish.
  • Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans, producing schedules and monitoring the attendance of crew.
  • Allocate general and daily responsibilities to workers and contractors.
  • Supervise and train workers and construction laborers, ensuring that they are performing their roles effectively and safely.
  • Guarantee all safety guidelines and regulations are followed.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other construction specialists.
  • Regularly report project status to stakeholders, manage and mitigate project risks.
  • Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
  • Solve technical issues, provide advice, and manage unforeseen delays or problems.
  • Conduct site checks to monitor progress and quality standards.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Tilt Wall Superintendent or similar role in construction.
  • Proven experience in commercial retail and big box retail construction.
  • Proficient knowledge of construction material, equipment, and tools.
  • Solid understanding of construction operations and processes.
  • Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office, BlueBeam Revu PDF, Procore, and construction/project management software.
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to lead and inspire.
  • A team player with leadership abilities.
  • BSc/BA in engineering, building science, or relevant field is preferred.
  • PMP or equivalent certification is considered a plus.
