We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Permanent Superintendent to join our dynamic team in the Construction industry. This role provides an excellent opportunity to apply your skills and expertise in managing all facets of construction projects, from inception to completion. You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations on the construction site, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. If you are a detail-oriented professional with a knack for problem-solving and a passion for construction, we would love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all aspects of construction project management, including planning, coordination, and execution.
2. Manage and supervise the work of construction crews, subcontractors, and staff.
3. Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
4. Conduct regular site inspections and meetings to monitor progress and address any issues or concerns.
5. Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other key stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination.
6. Utilize construction management software, such as Bluebeam and On-Screen Takeoff (OST), for project planning, scheduling, and monitoring.
7. Prepare and submit regular project reports, updates, and documentation.
8. Resolve any construction problems or discrepancies promptly and effectively.
9. Manage project resources and materials efficiently to minimize waste and maximize productivity.
10. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a construction superintendent or similar role.
2. Proven experience with construction management software, such as Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff (OST), and DESTINI Estimator.
3. Strong knowledge of construction processes, methods, materials, standards, and regulations.
4. Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and supervise a diverse team.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and a strong ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.
7. Ability to read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and specifications.
8. Physical fitness and a willingness to work on-site in various weather conditions.
9. A degree in Construction Management or a related field is preferred.
10. A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to different job sites as required.
