Our company is seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Permanent Superintendent for our Environmental Group. This is an essential role in our Construction division, where you'll be responsible for overseeing all environmental aspects of our construction projects. This includes supervising crews, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, and implementing effective environmental management plans.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental science or a related field, with a minimum of five years of experience in a leadership role. They should also be familiar with the current environmental laws and regulations in the construction industry. The ability to communicate effectively and manage teams is crucial for this role.

Responsibilities:

1. Supervise and lead environmental crews on construction sites, ensuring that all work is carried out safely and efficiently.
2. Develop and implement environmental management plans for each project, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
3. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure all environmental controls are in place and functioning correctly.
4. Work closely with project managers and other team members to ensure environmental considerations are integrated into project planning and execution.
5. Provide regular reports on environmental performance to senior management.
6. Train and mentor staff on environmental best practices and procedures.
7. Investigate and address any environmental incidents or concerns that arise on site.
8. Collaborate with regulatory agencies and stakeholders to address any environmental issues or concerns.
9. Stay up-to-date on industry trends, technologies, and regulations related to environmental management in construction.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
2. A minimum of five years of experience in a supervisory role within the construction industry, with a focus on environmental management.
3. Comprehensive knowledge of environmental laws and regulations as they pertain to the construction industry.
4. Proven experience in leading and managing teams.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make sound decisions.
7. Proficiency in using environmental management software and other relevant technology.
8. Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESC) or similar certification is a plus.
9. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
10. Commitment to promoting a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
