We are currently seeking an experienced Superintendent with a specialized focus on Commercial Tenant Improvements (TI) to join our dynamic team. This exciting role will allow you to showcase your expertise in the construction industry, specifically in office, TI, retail, restaurant, and healthcare sectors. As a Permanent Superintendent-Commercial TI, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our construction projects, from planning to completion. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the field.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Superintendent-Commercial TI, you will be responsible for:
1. Directing and overseeing all on-site construction activities, from inception to completion, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
2. Coordinating and supervising the work of all construction workers, subcontractors, and personnel on site.
3. Ensuring that all construction activities comply with company standards and building regulations.
4. Developing and implementing comprehensive project plans and schedules.
5. Inspecting and reviewing projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes, and other regulations.
6. Identifying and resolving any potential issues, risks, or delays in the construction process.
7. Maintaining regular communication with project stakeholders, providing regular status updates and handling any issues that arise.
8. Implementing quality control programs and safety measures on the construction site.
9. Negotiating contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Superintendent-Commercial TI role will have the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role in the construction industry, with a focus on commercial tenant improvements (TI).
2. Proven experience in office, TI, retail, restaurant, and healthcare construction projects. Projects $1M-20M, and small ground ups.
3. In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and OSHA guidelines.
4. Excellent knowledge of construction project management principles.
5. Strong leadership and team management skills.
6. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
7. Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
8. Proficient in using construction management software packages.
9. A degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field is preferred.
10. Certification in construction safety or related field is a plus.
11. A valid driver's license and the ability to travel as needed.
