We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Superintendent in the healthcare construction industry. This individual will play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing the construction of healthcare facilities, including but not limited to hospitals, cancer centers, and other medical facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for the addition, expansion, and tenant improvement of these structures, ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This position requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in healthcare construction.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all stages of project life cycle management, from pre-construction to project completion, including coordination of manpower, materials, and equipment.
2. Manage the addition, expansion, and tenant improvement of healthcare facilities, ensuring compliance with design, project specifications, and regulatory requirements.
3. Develop and implement comprehensive project schedules and communication plans, providing regular updates to stakeholders on project status.
4. Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety guidelines and regulations, promoting a culture of safety among the project team.
5. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other construction and building specialists, resolving any potential design or implementation issues.
6. Proactively identify and mitigate project risks, managing any unexpected changes or issues that arise.
7. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality and progress of the work, taking corrective action as necessary.
8. Manage project budget and financial reporting, ensuring the highest level of accuracy and accountability.
9. Foster and maintain positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and other industry professionals.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent or similar role in the healthcare construction industry, with a proven track record of successfully completed projects.
2. Extensive knowledge and experience in hospital construction, cancer center construction, and other healthcare facilities.
3. Demonstrated experience in addition, expansion, and tenant improvement of healthcare facilities.
4. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a diverse team of professionals.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with clients, team members, and other stakeholders.
6. Proficient in project management software and other relevant computer applications.
7. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and resolve issues effectively and efficiently.
8. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field is preferred.
9. Certifications in construction safety and other relevant areas are highly desirable.
10. Ability to travel to various job sites as required.
